Which yoga style should I choose?

Gentle Yoga

The calf muscles play an important role in pumping deoxygenated blood from the lower legs back up to the heart, and for this reason it is often referred to as the "second heart". However, this pump mechanism requires movement, so we'll be getting our calves working throughout the class today.

Self-Hug Stretch - 34 mins

This class incorporates stretches that open up space between the shoulder blades and help relax the upper back, with the little bonus of a comforting self-hug.

Criss-Cross - 29 mins

This is a fun class for improving hip strength and mobility. We combine heat-building movement with gentle stretches, which can feel especially freeing around the hips if we've had a sedentary day.

Introduction to Hatha Flow Yoga

Dolphin, Warrior 3 & Side Plank - 48 mins

The first session in an introductory series to hatha flow style classes. Today we cover some of the poses you'll often come across in this yoga style, including dolphin pose, warrior 3 and side plank. We also spend extra time on the transition stepping directly from downward-facing dog to a lunge position.

If you're feeling lethargic, hopefully the focus in this class on fluid, flowing movements to build heat in the body and deep breathing to promote mental clarity will help you feel revived by the end of the session.
