Like a journaling practice without the pen, I will provide guided prompts to help you cultivate fresh intentions and find inspiration for the months ahead.

The entire side lines of the body will be getting some attention today. We'll spend time warming up and moving these muscles, then sprinkling in some stretches and savouring that sensation of length in our side body.

Buoyant and Bright - 28 mins

I hope this class leaves you feeling uplifted, buoyant and bright! It incorporates movements which - according to psychologist Kelly McGonigal - are associated with happiness and joy.

This class has the title "Mix and Match" as we'll be revisiting movements in various ways and in different combinations. We'll have fun challenging our core stability and increasing the complexity of our transitions as we progress through the session.

In today's class we work on coordinating our upper back and shoulder strength to find a sense of stability within our poses, and also in every transition. Stability isn't solely about muscle strength, it's about how our body moves as a unit. Through a variety of forearm-based work, we'll ignite the upper body and cultivate an integrated upper core.

Your body is the most incredible tool you will ever own. Inspired by a quote from children's author Dr. Seuss who reminds us, "You have brains in your head. You have feet in your shoes. You can steer yourself any direction you choose", we move today as a celebration of everything we are capable of achieving. What an empowering thought to know that we are the ones steering this incredible machine!

Today's class is designed to forge an unshakeable base of strength, using deep core activation and a few new twists on familiar poses to cultivate physical stability. Expect a vigorous flow with controlled, precise movements that build stamina, coupled with concentrated attention to foster an equally unshakeable mind.
