Today's class is all about strengthening our obliques (side core muscles) to better support our lower back. The internal obliques connect to a dense sheet of connective tissue in the lower back called the thoracolumbar fascia. By keeping our obliques strong, we can distribute forces away from the lumbar spine to avoid overloading our lower back.
