October Theme: Autumn
Vinyasa Yoga
A Grounded Autumn - 31 mins
For me, October is the most autumnal of the autumn months, so I thought it would make a lovely theme. We're kicking off this October series with a vinyasa class, moving to both help ground our body and begin the seasonal process of turning our energy and focus inwards.
While we'll gradually slow our themed sessions down as the month goes on, let's start with a dynamic flow to generate warmth and build a stable foundation for the season.
Gentle Yoga
Expanding Your Horizons - 44 mins
If you've been locked into a single position today that has led to physical tension, or if you've been mentally locked in and hyper-focused on tasks, this session is designed to help you reset. The aim is to open up space in both body and mind, and settle into a more relaxed, expansive state.
Beginners / Improvers Yoga
Load and Lengthen - 37 mins
This class targets the lower posterior chain, including the glutes, hamstrings and calves. We'll be increasing the load and demand on these muscles progressively during the class to build functional strength. To keep our stretches functional too, we'll integrate many of them dynamically into our movements to mimic the way our body moves naturally.
Beginners / Improvers Yoga
Shoulder Spin - 41 mins
Today’s yoga class focuses on the shoulders. We will move through targeted sequences designed to strengthen the rotator cuff muscles, enhance rotation, and improve overall shoulder mobility.
Hatha Yoga
Spiral and Stretch - 39 mins
Today's class is filled with twists and other movements that strengthen and stretch the side core. The sessions includes a mixture of spinal stability and mobility work too, with the spotlight on the thoracic (mid-spine) region.
Hatha Flow Yoga
Geometrics of Joy - 45 mins
Today we turn our focus to the hips and legs, moving to dissolve stiffness and tension. Our lower body will explore shapes and poses that invite a sense of space and ease. Let's move better to feel better, and welcome a little more joy into our day.
Vinyasa Yoga
Short and Spicy - 16 mins
Don't be deceived by the length of this one! It may be short but it's strong and we pack in a lot of movement, with a focus on the abdominals, obliques and upper body.
